About Me

My name is Drew Kail and I am a printmaker and glass artist living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  My aim for this blog is to keep both a written and visual journal of my artistic process in order to better understand the cycle of making, and how one arrives at both a beginning and an end of a work or a series of works.

If you would like more information, or are interested in purchasing a print or glass piece, please feel free to contact me at

  1. Hi Drew! Thanks for your “like”. I really appreciate it.
    Your work is awesome.
    Best from Spain!

  2. Glad I found your blog…thanks for checking mine out too. You’re making my printmaking ideas kick back into action. I have a press in my home studio, but lately it’s mostly been used as a dumping ground for all the other projects I am working. I think it’s time it got cleared off again! Thanks for the inspiration. Best, Dara

Thanks for visiting ‘Gday Canucks’ a few weeks ago (I’ve been slack getting back to everyone!). I’m glad you visited because otherwise I would not have found your blog!

  6. stumbled upon your work while looking for a good picture of Penland, keep up the great work! and I was wondering if you minded me stealing your panorama shot of campus for instagram… I would give full credit if you don’t mind :] …unfortunately last time I was up there it was gloomy and unsuitable for a shot, Thanks, Erica!
