Alyssa and I flew back to Portland yesterday from Pittsburgh. Justin and Megan’s wedding was amazing. Congratulations Justin and Meagan! I’m so glad I had the chance to be a part of their special day. Alyssa and I also had the opportunity to spend time with our families and a few friends in the area. The only thing better would have been a longer trip, because there is never enough time to see everyone.
Homesick
I do love the city of Pittsburgh. It was great to be home. Here is a woodcut I printed based on the post-industrial landscape of the Pittsburgh area. This piece in particular was inspired by the Carrie Furnace in Braddock, Pennsylvania.
Have a great day.

Fabulous woodcut. Did you enjoy the pierogi?
They were delicious, thanks.
interesting work! a combination of sharp and curved lines make the composition, to be completed
I’m glad you like the print. I think the combination of angels and curves draws in the eye to a very lively scene.
Hello…you liked a post on my blog so I hopped over here. I must say…your work is wonderful! Do you have any other websites/portfolios showcasing your work?
Thank you so much. Currently my blog is the only online resource to see my work using the side menu links under the “My Prints” header. Plans are in the works to build a website as a gallery to showcase and sell my prints, but time has been hard to find. If you’d like any more information or details regarding any of my prints please feel free to email me at kail(dot)andrew(at)yahoo(dot)com.
